Setting Up Your Organization: jump to another article
The Corrective Actions Library
What an operator picks from when a check comes back out of range. It’s a controlled vocabulary, not free text — your organization starts with a standard set of actions, and you can add your own alongside it under Corrective Actions.
Parameter
Each action is tagged to what it addresses: General, RI, Brix, pH, Concentration, Temperature, Bacteria, or Tramp oil.
Follow-up recheck
Turn on Requires a follow-up recheck and set a number of hours, and KeepSpec treats this action as needing a second look — for example, rechecking a machine an hour after adding concentrate, to confirm the fix actually worked.
Cost estimate
Optional, in dollars. It pre-fills when an operator picks this action while recording a check, and can be overridden for that specific event — the library value is just the default.
Built-in actions
Your organization’s starting set is marked Built-in. You can still edit one: changing its cost, follow-up hours, description, or archived status is always safe. Changing its name or parameter changes what future analytics measure it as, so KeepSpec calls that out specifically when you edit a built-in action.
Archiving an action
Archiving removes an action from the picker for new checks. Any check that already recorded it keeps showing it in history, unaffected.
