We build the fluid maintenance record that sells no fluid.
KeepSpec is the vendor-independent coolant management platform for manufacturers. We do one job: keep an honest, portable record of every check on every machine, across every plant you run — regardless of which fluid brand is in the sump.
Why we exist
The metalworking fluid market is served by software that isn’t really software. It’s a sales tool. The apps given away by fluid manufacturers work — they’re just working for the manufacturer, not the plant. Every check your operators log becomes data your supplier’s account manager sees before you do.
The plants that wanted to keep clean records without handing them to a vendor had two options: spreadsheets, or clipboards. Both fail an auditor. Both die the day a fluid brand changes.
We built KeepSpec because a manufacturer we work with asked for a third option — a record that would still be readable next year, under the next supplier, in front of the next auditor.
What we believe
Records outlive vendors. If your compliance history can be locked away or deleted when you stop paying us, it was never a compliance record. Yours stays readable.
The shop floor is a hard environment. Steel roofs, concrete basements, glove-covered thumbs. Software that assumes signal, or a clean touchscreen, gets replaced by a clipboard. We assume neither.
Chemistry is not our business. We have no fluid to sell you and no opinion on which brand you should be running. That is the whole point.
Where we’re based
KeepSpec is built in Central Indiana — the crossroads of American manufacturing. Toyota, Honda, Subaru, Nissan, Cummins, Rolls-Royce, and Eli Lilly all run production here. It is a good place to build a tool for the people who keep those lines running.
